YE XIAOFENG, CRYSTAL, WOMAN IN RED GOWN, FLOWERS

A crystal snuff bottle, very well hollowed, of flattened, rectangular form with rounded shoulders and a cylindrical neck, and with a neatly carved oval footrim, carved in relief on one main side with a leafy flowering peony, painted on the inside using ink and watercolors with a leafy blossoming peony bush, daisies and other flowers with a butterfly flying above, the reverse painted with a lady in a long red gown standing at the open window beside a stool looking out at a garden, one hand behind her back holding a blue cloth, signed Ye Xiaofeng.
