CARVED, BIRDS AMONGST PRUNUS

Agate, well hollowed, of flattened shield shape, with rounded shoulders sloping to a slightly everted neck with straightened lip, and with a concave oval foot, of pale honey tones with an opaque beige inclusion on one main side, well carved with two pairs of birds swooping and perched in a blossoming prunus treee issuing from rockwork; the reverse with a dark brown inclusion incised to depict a bird perched on a branch.
