Provenance:
Apart from the use of a color of jade favoured at Court by the Qing emperors, the vase-shape here is also typical of a range of Palace snuff-bottles, although the shape, here taken from a standard yuhuchun and elongated elegantly, is an unusual one. A third feature is the heavy foot left by the hollowing process, which in this case is 7 mm deep.
