Nephrite, off-white, of flattened rounded ovoid shape, well hollowed, with rounded shoulders and a splayed cylindrical neck with slightly concave mouth.

This, somewhat mundane, jade bottle has been included for the simple reason that it is the first bottle of the Crane Collection. Whilst not reaching the quality of the rest of the Collection, it deserves recognition as the starting point for the collector. In its favor, it is old, fairly well made and has a tactile quality that is evident throughout this Collection.
