There are a number of features which allow for an eighteenth century date for this bottle and for a possible attribution to the Palace Workshops. The almost flawless, even stone has a soft, tactile feel to it and whilst not of the type termed 'mutton-fat' still has a slightly waxy touch to it. Whilst still a very 'quiet' bottle, it has strong integrity in its manufacture with the typical eighteenth century handles sitting in relief high up on the shoulders towards the neck of the bottle.
