MENG HAORAN TRAVELING THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS

A spinach-green nephrite snuff bottle, very well-hollowed, of rounded form with a cylindrical neck and a neatly carved oval footrim, carved in relief with on one main side a pair of cranes standing on rocks under pine trees, the reverse with Meng Haoran astride his mule crossing a wood plank bridge, shaded by blossoming prunus trees.
