There is a series of imperial objects made from a range of sage-green nephrite which is distinctive in color. Whenever this material appears, there are invariably courtly connections, suggesting that it came from a single boulder of nephrite, most of which would have been used by the Court. This form is a classic Imperial form from the Qianlong period onwards. There is also a series of glass bottles of this shape, including some in yellow, several of which bear Qianlong reign-marks, although there seems to be a general acceptance that the larger the bottle, the later the period to which it can be attributed.
