A cloisonné snuff bottle, of rounded form with a cylindrical neck and flat foot, decorated on each main face with a central circular medallion, one with a yellow and red peony flowerhead on a pink ground, the other with a multi-petaled chrysanthemum flowerhead in purple, puce-red, white, blue and yellow on a pink ground, the remainder of the body with a turquoise ground cracked-ice pattern design with small equally spaced red enamel prunus blossoms, the neck with yellow enamel blossoms on a turquoise ground, the foot and mouth with the exposed copper metal.
Probably imperial, attributed to the Palace Workshops, Beijing.
